DropPoint Classic 4

This classic custom drop point hunting knife was forged out of a Weatherby .257 magnum stainless steel rifle barrel. A piece of 52100 high carbon steel was placed inside the barrel before forging. This created a very unique and beautiful San-Mai Damascus pattern. The cutting edge is 3 1/2 inches long while the blade's overall length is 8 inches. The cutting edge is 60 HRC after heat treatment. The spine of the blade is just under 1/8 inch thick and tapers down to .030 inches giving the blade better handleability. The handle is comprised of stabalized Eucalyptus burl scaleswith black micarta liners fastened with two custom mosaic pins. Included with the blade is a custom leather sheath and a letter of authenticity describing the materials and process of forging the blade.
